Hey everyone and welcome back to Riley Friday! This week we are sticking to our Pawsie theme and talking about a company called Sleepy Cotton. They are a clean brand that creates products to not only help your baby but also educate paw parents about what ingredients are safe and which ones are actually harmful to your fur-baby. After looking into their brand and what they stand for I figured I would give them a try. They even have a “Sleepy University” section on their site to help all dog moms/dads. The university page has all kinds of articles to raise awareness and spread the knowledge of the negative impacts of using ingredients made of harsh chemicals and the pawsitive effects of using natural ingredients. And as if it couldn’t get any better, they’re fighting the use of animal cruelty involved materials!!
To start out Riley and I gave the Afterwalk Sanitizing Paw Gel Cleanser a try. I figured this would be perfect because as most of you know Riley has very sensitive skin and bad allergies. And I try to only use natural, clean ingredients on my babies. After reading the ingredients and the pawsome reviews Riley and I used the cleanser, and oh wow! This cleanser not only deep cleaned her paws while she got a relaxing massage, but it moisturized them! I didn’t even realize how dry her paw pads were until today. This product is a miracle worker! Plus, if you’ve been following along you know that Riley isn’t fond of her paws being messed with. However, she really loved getting a nice paw massage with the gel cleanser.
I really think the Afterwalk Sanitizing Paw Gel Cleanser is going to be a game changer for Riley and all my babies out there with sensitive skin and allergies. Did you know that 90% of the time what is making your dog lick their paws is irritation caused by buildup of dirt, unhealthy bacteria and germs? Thats huge! This is also the reason why when you are using this cleanser you want to make sure you are getting in-between their paw pads because that is where a lot of bacteria buildup is sitting. And this formula is sure to get rid of it because it includes aloe, flower extracts, naturally derived cleaning agents, and a dog safe medical-grade active ingredient – proven to kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria.

Sleepy Cotton also has a line of refreshing mist that Riley and I refer to as Perfume. They have a wonderful array of scents. But I chose the Peach scent for my sweet girl. And as you can see from the video, she was a fan! She smells so good I just want to eat her up! And to sweeten the deal, its a 100% pet safe formula and just like the gel cleanser, it is made with 100% U.S sourced ingredients. These “perfumes” not only smell amazing but also protect and condition your babies fur. Their formulas include healthy natural oils including rosehip oil, jojoba oil, safflower oil, and argan oil that naturally benefits the strength of a dog’s coat and skin. Which is huge for fur-babies like Riley! Not to mention the perfume is waterless which means its preservative free. You really can’t get anything better!
The last thing I want to share from Sleepy Cotton (at least for this post) is their leashes! They have two amazing styles, a “regular” leash and a hands-free leash that wraps around your body like a crossbody purse so you have your hands free to take pictures of your baby! Their upcycled core cotton rope leashes are made from scratch by local artisans using extra soft cotton and upcycled yarns. These leashes follow an aggressively tough standard guideline and are built with knot techniques from the rock climbing industry.
